Board of Directors

Steve & Greta Mestre, Founders, Executive Director

Steve Mestre, Executive Director, has been self-employed for over 40 years. Those years have held a lot of change, lessons learned and, success.  He owes much of that success to the willingness to analyze out-of-date business practices and adapt to shifting paradigms by  researching and incorporating new technologies that help his companies stay relevant and competitive.

Being charitable in nature, Steve and his wife Greta are active supporters of charitable organizations as both, donors and volunteers.  As the crowdfunding concept emerged along with the growing trend in online giving, they felt it was important to create a platform that could transform the way nonprofits raise money and awareness, and reach new audiences through a website dedicated only to charitable organizations.  Given the first-hand knowledge of major issues that plague most charities, it was clear that many of those issues could be solved by using today’s technology and the website.

Steve and Greta established an IRS designated 501(c)3 nonprofit called Giving Trail in 2014. provides a safe and low-cost crowdfunding platform where donor-directed funds are raised by charitable organizations for mission-based projects.  The goal for the website is to enable charitable organizations to spend less time on fundraising and more time on their mission.
